2019 IIHF World Junior Championship

The 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship concluded this past weekend. Finland took gold, USA got silver, and Russia won the bronze medal game. Denmark lost the relegation matches and will move down to D1A next year, while Germany will be moving back up again to replace them.

While there are a number of players who are eligible for the 2019 or 2020 NHL Entry Draft I was primarily concerned with the players who are currently prospects for the teams I follow. The lone representative of the Pittsburgh Penguins was Filip Hallander on Sweden while the Vegas Golden Knights had Ivan Morozov on Russia, Jonas Rondbjerg on Denmark, Jiri Patera on Czechia, Cody Glass on Canada, and both Erik Brannstrom and Lucas Elvenes on Sweden.
